BASIC PURPOSE

Operate an industrial forklift to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and loading dock. Operate forklift/high-lift in order to lower stock to ground level pick-level slots from higher level reserve slots during night shift & day shift, and to put received stock in higher level storage slots during the day shift using safe operating practices.

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday

Rate of Pay: $21.12/hour

Work Schedule: Night shift: Sunday-Thursday from 4:45pm until complete (including holidays), with variable finish times that may require overtime.

Job Overview: We seek Reach Truck Operators to join the US FOODS family. You will operate a reach truck as an integral team member, performing material handling assignments. Your role involves identifying and transporting material to and from storage areas and the loading dock. Operate the Reach Truck/high lift with a focus on safety.

Main Ingredients

  • Transport pallet loads of product from the dock to the correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment, ensuring all pallets are securely placed to avoid damage or injury during product selection.
  • Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
  • Operate and maintain reach trucks to deliver top-notch quality, ensuring they are consistently clean and in optimal operational condition.
  • Perform operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
  • Record all products, equipment, and warehouse damage.
  • Conduct thorough end-of-shift wipe-downs of reach trucks and other equipment, ensuring impeccable cleanliness and functionality.
  • Maintain aisle cleanliness by removing debris from the floor and racks.
  • Always follow safety policies and practices.

What You Bring to The Table

Qualifications

  • Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Related Experience: Job related certification for Material Handling Equipment. Prior Selector experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must be able to understand Voxware commands.
