Duties:

Set up press and conveyor/stacker system for press runs.

Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of offset printing, including setting color, image registration, newsprint handling and delivery of final product within established waste parameters.

Demonstrate expertise with all phases of setup, run, maintenance and housekeeping duties on the presses and in the department.

Train apprentices to understand the Offset reproduction process and continuously work with them on the skills necessary to correctly and efficiently operate the printing presses and auxiliary department equipment.

Strictly adhere to all safety directives for the department, the plant and the Company. Strictly adhere to all Company policies and directives.

Consistently demonstrates reliability, punctuality, excellent communication skills and comprehension, good mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

The position requires schedule flexibility based on seniority, crew availability and operational demands as set forth by the company and includes night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

The hourly rate for this role will be $36.10. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications, and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
