Sr Infrastructure Ops Engineering Consultant - NAS

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction and oversight of the storage platform
- Provide technical direction and oversight for the Enterprise SAN and SAN attached arrays, network attached storage (NAS), Object storage, Cloud Storage and disk based backup/restore technology in a mission/business critical environment
- Evaluate and select new products and technologies
- Drive storage strategies and recommend industry best practices for storage solutions provide proactive storage forecasting, design and deploy effective storage solutions, research new and emerging technologies
- Lead in the planning, design, and implementation of new products in storage area for on premise and cloud environment
- Define and promote standards, guidelines, and policies for the use and integration of technology
- Define key performance indicators and thresholds for storage systems
- Develop technical partnerships with key support, architecture, and operations teams
- Educate customers and provide easy and clear roadmap of the storage platform
- Manage, retain and grow enterprise relationships
- Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services - from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement
- Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews
- Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
- Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
- Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
- Resource to Senior Leadership

The complexity of this role can be challenging. You'll be working on strategic programs with responsibility for providing architectural leadership to key initiatives across the organization. You'll be expected to ensure that the programs align to the IT strategy, leverage enterprise components.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field;
- 5+ years of IT experience
- Experience of SAN, NAS, object storage, software defined storage and/or hyper-converged-infrastructure
- Public (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.) and private (VMWare) cloud storage and container technology (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) experience
