Software Engineering Lead - Nodejs, React, Azure

Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud solutions using Azure services including App Services, Service Bus, Storage Blob, KeyVault, Azure Functions, and Cosmos DB
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform following Infrastructure as Code best practices
- Develop full stack applications using React and MUI on the UI layer and modern backend frameworks such as Node.js
- Support API development, validation, and debugging
- Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and maintain high quality source control practices using GitHub or equivalent tools
- Follow Agile/Scaled Agile practices and manage delivery work using Rally
- Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and cross functional engineering teams to deliver quality software
- Integrate AI driven features and automation capabilities when appropriate to enhance system intelligence and efficiency
- Lead and mentor engineers; provide technical guidance, code reviews, architecture direction, and establish engineering best practices
- Use solid critical thinking skills to dissect complex issues, evaluate architectural decisions, and recommend high value solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across UI, backend, cloud, and infrastructure components
- Ensure engineered solutions meet enterprise standards for security, performance, scalability, availability, and operational excellence
- Maintain clear, concise, and proactive communication across distributed, cross time zone teams - an essential requirement for this role

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
- 6+ years of software engineering experience delivering cloud native and full stack solutions
- Hands on experience with GitHub or other enterprise CI/CD and source control tools. Comfortable using VS Code as the main development environment
- Hands-on experience with using Testing frameworks like Selenium or Cypress
- Experience working in Agile/Scaled Agile environments with iterative delivery cycles
- Solid experience with core Azure Cloud services: Azure App Services, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage Blob, Azure KeyVault, Azure Functions (any language), Azure Cosmos DB, Terraform for Azure infrastructure
- Backend experience with Node.js or similar modern frameworks
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and ability to incorporate intelligent features into enterprise applications
- Familiarity with Rally or equivalent Agile lifecycle management tools
- Proficiency in front end development using React and MUI
- Skilled at working with Postman for API testing and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering initiatives and mentor other engineers
- Demonstrated solid analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills - this is essential for working with teams across global time zones
- Commitment to software engineering excellence, including clean code practices, testing, documentation, maintainability, and security compliance
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional and geographically distributed teams
