We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Data Analyst to join our Analytics Ireland team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Client Rebate Analytics US team to deliver enhanced value to OptumRx clients. Together, both teams work to provide data-driven insights that help clients optimize their pharmacy benefit programs, optimize drug spending, reduce healthcare costs, and align rebates with strategic goals.

You will play a key role in driving modernization efforts by developing cutting-edge analytics automation capabilities and leveraging advanced technologies such as Azure, Databricks, and AI to transform how rebate data is analysed, reported, and shared with clients. By fostering trust through accurate reporting and actionable insights, you will empower clients to make informed decisions about their pharmacy benefit plans while contributing to operational efficiency and innovation within the organization. Primary Responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:

Automating Report Creation

  • Streamline and automate the generation of multiple types of reports that are shared with OptumRx clients
  • Ensure automation delivers accurate, branded, and standardized reporting formats tailored to client needs
  • Build scalable processes to support the delivery of both scheduled and ad hoc reports

Modernizing Automation Pipelines

  • Lead efforts to migrate existing automation pipelines to the Azure cloud and Databricks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Integrate these pipelines with a new state-of-the-art automation platform to modernize reporting infrastructure
  • Collaborate with technical teams to optimize processes and workflows for long-term sustainability

Ad Hoc Reporting with AI Integration

  • Develop advanced capabilities that leverage AI and other emerging technologies to enable the generation of ad hoc reports based on user input
  • Build systems that dynamically adapt to user-defined parameters, such as data columns and formats, while maintaining company branding and standards
  • Ensure flexibility, accuracy, and efficiency in responding to client-specific reporting requests

Supporting Analytics Innovation

  • Partner with the Client Rebate Analytics team to deliver state-of-the-art analytics tools that empower them to work more efficiently and generate deeper insights
  • Contribute to ongoing projects aimed at enhancing rebate performance analysis and driving client value

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven solid Python Skills: Advanced Python (or PySpark) programming skills
  • Demonstrated SQL Skills: Knowledge of SQL with the ability to perform effective and efficient querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
  • ETL and Data Workflows: Proven solid experience in building and optimizing ETL pipelines and data workflows for seamless data integration
  • Quality Assurance (QA): Proven ability to implement and manage QA processes to ensure systems are reliable and accurate
  • Data Analysis: Demonstrated experience analysing and interpreting large datasets from disparate sources, with an emphasis on ensuring accuracy and reliability of results
  • Demonstrated solid interpersonal skills to partner effectively across global teams
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders
  • Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience or familiarity with AI and LLM tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Databricks Genie, OpenAI API)
  • Demonstrated familiarity with financial reporting and performance analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
