Location:

  • 2118 East Overland Trail, Suite B, Abilene, Texas

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday working 8 hour shifts between 8am-8pm (Overtime as needed)
  • (Saturday and Sunday) - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (working most weekends)
  • Some holidays
  • The schedule is subjected to change weekly

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Techs in this position will be responsible for various tasks related to filling the prescriptions in a timely manner for each run including:
  • Pulling medications from the shelves in preparation for other techs to use
  • Pulling pre-packed cards of fast-moving medications from the prepack area in preparation for other techs to use
  • Toting prescriptions to their respective homes
  • Preparing a month supply of medications for patients that are leaving the facilities, when requested by the DON
  • Preparing Hazardous medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Preparing Non-sterile compounds in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Other responsibilities related to daily workflow and pharmacy compliance include:
  • Removing expired medications from the shelves in assigned areas for monthly compliance
  • Prepack cards of fast-moving medications to increase efficiency of workflow
  • Assist other departments as the need arises
  • Return medications to the shelf after they have been processed for return from the facilities
  • Perform various tasks related to increasing efficiency of the workflow such as preparing commonly requested amounts of various supplies to be sent to the facilities
  • Perform various tasks to help maintain compliance in the pharmacy such as participating in annual trainings and following specific procedures required by state and federal regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Texas Pharmacy Technician License or a Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee License
  • Ability to move 25lbs.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period
  • Availability for morning shifts, evening shifts, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PTCB Certification
  • Pharmacy experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
