As a full time, exempt Director of Pharmacy at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws with the assistance and oversight of 5 Pharmacists and 6 Pharmacy Technicians. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.

Schedule: This position works at least 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday. May occasionally work a weekend as back up coverage
About the Facility: Western Missouri Medical Center is an 84 bed, Joint Commission accredited acute care, not-for-profit, county hospital located in Warrensburg, Missouri that offers Primary Care, Specialty Care, Emergency and Express Care Service to local area residents and recommends super medical care services to people of Johnson County and West Central Missouri. The Pharmacy services include a retail outpatient pharmacy onsite

About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday - Friday from 6am to 10pm, Weekends and holidays from 8:30am-5pm and has remote pharmacy services coverage when the pharmacy is closed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Pharmacy Operations
  • Manage Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
  • Work with Hospital staff and leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Missouri in good standing
  • 2+ years recent pharmacy management in a hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Pharmacy Management
  • Knowledge and Understanding of 340B
  • Knowledge of Retail pharmacy operations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
