We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Monitoring Tools team, focused on monitoring and observability for enterprise platforms. This role ensures high-quality monitoring across applications and infrastructure, enabling rapid detection, actionable alerts, and reliable operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Monitoring: Configure and maintain monitors in Zabbix/Zabbix APM, including templates, triggers, and agents for availability and performance checks
- Service Operations: Process ServiceNow requests, incidents, and changes related to monitoring; partner with service teams via office hours and collaboration tools
- Lifecycle Management: Migrate legacy monitors, retire stale checks, and maintain accurate coverage aligned with asset changes
- Cross-Tool Integration: Collaborate with teams managing Interlink, NNMi, OEM, Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace and other observability platforms
- Continuous Improvement: Reduce alert noise, improve monitor reliability, and sustain observability data for dashboards and reporting
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Zabbix/Zabbix APM (agent deployment, templates, triggers)
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes (incident, request, change) and operational discipline
- Familiarity with web/service checks (HTTP/S, SOAP, JDBC) and basic scripting for automation
- Knowledge of platform and network fundamentals (OS, protocols, connectivity)
- Proven excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation and API integration for monitoring at scale
- Exposure to observability ecosystems (Splunk, Grafana, OEM, NNMi, Dynatrace)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid cloud environment and support enterprise-scale deployments
