This role is a key contributor within our accounting team, positioned between Senior Accountant and Manager level, the role demands a strong technical foundation and the ability to step back from transactional detail to provide informed judgement on complex financial matters.

We are looking for a highly capable professional who can interpret and challenge financial information, make sound decisions, and take a holistic view of accounting processes. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic financial decisions and drive continuous improvement across the function.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare legal entity financial statements in accordance with FRS 101 and US GAAP and contribute expertise in preparing consolidated financial statements under full IFRS and Irish Company Law
  • Support statutory audit, compliance and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Maintain an internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting
  • Create, document, review and approve journal entries (e.g., journal upload, general ledger queries)
  • Prepare, review and approve account reconciliations
  • Proactively analyse financial data to identify and address potential accounting issues on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with US and International GAAP
  • Solve complex accounting problems and develop innovative solutions when resolving issues
  • Demonstrate understanding of intercompany relationships and organizational structures (e.g., segments, legal entities) required to record both intercompany and intersegment transactions
  • Define, develop and improve business and accounting processes, leveraging latest technology to automate and digitalize processes
  • Perform financial variance analysis and provide explanations (period-over-period actuals) for Income statement, Balance sheet and Cash flow projections
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial systems, including PeopleSoft, Workiva, and Blackline, to support efficient and effective accounting operations
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
  • Partner with peers in other finance teams to streamline processes and implement best practice across geographies

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
  • Big 4 / multi-national / multi-currency experience
  • Solid technical expertise in financial statement preparation under multiple GAAPs (US GAAP, IFRS, FRS 101)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards
  • Demonstrated advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues proactively
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and stakeholder engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements under full IFRS
  • Solid working knowledge of enterprise financial systems including PeopleSoft Financials and Workiva
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and related add-in tools (e.g., SmartView, Essbase)
