About the Role:

The Lead Data Center Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of enterprise-scale data center environments. This role ensures high availability, performance, scalability, and security across business-critical infrastructure.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, providing advanced support across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and data center facilities. This role also serves as an escalation point for complex incidents and plays a key part in maintaining disaster recovery readiness.

About You:

  • Operate and maintain production data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization platforms)
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex incidents and drive root cause resolution
  • Act as an escalation point for critical issues impacting availability or performance
  • Support and test high availability and disaster recovery strategies
  • Partner with engineering, facilities, security, and vendors to ensure operational stability
  • Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and documentation
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities, including AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency and diagnostics

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of data center experience, including 4+ years in a dedicated Data Center Administrator (or similar) role
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise-scale environments
  • Strong expertise across:
    • Compute (rack/blad servers, OS-level troubleshooting)
    • Storage (SAN/NAS)
    • Networking (switching, routing fundamentals)
    • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to lead incident response and troubleshoot under pressure
  • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery environments
  • Strong ownership mindset and sound technical judgment
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating across teams
  • Interest in leveraging automation and AI tools to improve operations

The pay range for this position is $63,900 to $91,800. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
