Sr Software Engineer - CX Learning
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join the Customer Experience (CX) Learning team. Our team supports the people, processes and systems that ensure an excellent product learning experience for our customers, internals, and partners across the globe.
In this role, you will help build scalable, secure applications and services that power global learning experiences. You will collaborate closely with global team members and cross-functional partners while continuing to build your technical depth, domain knowledge, and professional skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain code for software applications
- Maintain SQL Server database schemas, tables, and relationships to support application requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable integrations between learning platforms and other UKG systems.
- Participate in regular stand-up meetings, code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and contribute to testing efforts, including unit tests and automated test suites as applicable.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments with guidance from senior engineers.
- Provide level 2 troubleshooting and support for both internal and customer-facing learning systems and tools, ensuring reliable and seamless learning experiences for all users.
- Create and maintain clear, accurate, and organized technical documentation for code and processes to support team knowledge sharing and operational readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 2-4 years of professional software development experience
- Experience building and supporting software applications in a collaborative team environment
- Strong proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core for software application development
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with SQL Server and designing relational databases
- Hands-on experience developing and integrating REST APIs
- Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Understanding of secure coding practices and basic cloud concepts
- Ability to adapt to change, and adjust priorities as needed
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset by seeking feedback, learning from experience, and pursuing continuous learning and improvement

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated testing tools, such as Playwright or Selenium
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) integrations, and/or Salesforce integrations
- Experience using Visual Studio, especially with productivity tools like GitHub Copilot
- Practical experience leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, code quality, documentation, testing, or general workflows
