In this role, you will be responsible for developing enterprise SaaS software and innovative solutions to enhance both agent and customer experiences. You will collaborate with a highly skilled and diverse group of individuals across the company and around the globe to address our top customer needs.

About the Role:
As a Principal IT Software Engineer at UKG, specializing in Salesforce, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of Salesforce-based solutions that enhance our customer experience and streamline business processes. You will leverage your expertise to drive the design, development, and optimization of Salesforce-applications, ensuring highest standards of quality and performance. Your role will involve strategic decision-making, mentoring, and fostering innovation within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the strategic design and execution of org consolidation, complex data conversion and alignment with business goals
• Design and architect multi-cloud, cloud native and SaaS application
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement transformative Salesforce features and enhancements.
• Provide expert technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers, guiding them in Salesforce development and data migration best practices.
• Conduct hands-on code reviews and Peer Review (PR) approval. Enforce adherence to Salesforce best practices and coding standards.
• Identify and resolve advanced performance bottlenecks and bugs within Salesforce applications, utilizing your extensive experience.
• Stay at the forefront of Salesforce platform updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends, applying them to drive innovation and improvement.
• Shape the architectural vision and strategy for Salesforce solutions, contributing to the long-term technical roadmap.
• Champion continuous improvement of Salesforce development processes and tools, leveraging your deep industry
About You:
• Extensive experience in data migration projects, including planning, execution, and validation.
• Proficiency in data migration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL tools, data loaders, middleware solutions).
• Mastery of Salesforce development tools and languages (e.g., Apex, Flow Builder, Lightning Web Components).
• Experience in designing and implementing AI agents, including natural language processing and machine learning models.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, design patterns, and enterprise-level integrations.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and database management systems.
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams, particularly in Salesforce development, data migration, and AI agent integration.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail, honed over two decades of experience.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in the HCM or workforce management industry.
• Expertise in Agile development methodologies and their application in large-scale projects.
• Active contributions to the Salesforce community or open-source projects.
