Job Description
The Salesforce Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, enhancement, and production support of Salesforce applications, primarily within Service Cloud, and as applicable Sales Cloud, CPQ (Optional). The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality Salesforce solutions.Responsibilities
• Translate business requirements into effective and scalable technical designs.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Salesforce solutions across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Communities, and integrated third-party applications used by UKG.
• Build customized solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components (Aura/LWC), and Salesforce configuration.
• Provide creative architectural and coding solutions aligned with business needs.
• Participate in the full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and integrations.
• Perform operational support, enhancements, and bug fixes following Salesforce best practices.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and maintain accurate ticketing for incidents, requests, changes, and problem management.
• Proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for application design, support, and development practices.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for defects, enhancements, and user how-to requests.
• Identify, document, and implement data and application integration requirements.
• Collaborate with business users to scope Salesforce functionality, analyze issues, and remediate end-user problems.
• Develop and manage processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.
• Develop and maintain Triggers, Apex Classes, Batch Processes, Controllers, Visualforce Pages, and Lightning Components to support evolving business needs.Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Strong experience with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Component Framework (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Salesforce and web technologies including SOQL, LWC, REST & SOAP services; familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
• Proficiency in Salesforce development, including customization of standard objects, creation of custom objects, fields, workflows, and validations.
• In-depth knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and experience building integrations with Salesforce.
• Experience with core web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Salesforce certification is a plus.Certifications (Preferred)
• Salesforce Platform Developer I / II (PD1 / PD2)
• Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ certifications
