Job Title: Lead Software Engineer - DevOps

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our DevOps team. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions used by enterprises worldwide. You will play a key role in improving software development and deployment practices by building strong automation, infrastructure, and observability foundations.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and ongoing operations. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure systems are efficient, resilient, and easy to maintain.

Responsibilities:

DevOps Engineering: Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions (automation for build and deployment workflows) and similar tools.

Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and manage cloud infrastructure across platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure using Terraform (infrastructure as code).

Containerization and Orchestration: Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes to support scalable and portable deployments.

Security and Access: Implement secure access practices including identity and access management, secrets management, and Workload Identity Federation (secure access without long-lived credentials).

Automation: Use tools such as Ansible and Python to automate configuration, provisioning, and operational processes.

Version Control and GitOps: Apply Git-based workflows and GitOps practices (managing infrastructure through version control) to improve deployment consistency and traceability.

Observability: Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Grafana and Prometheus to ensure service health and performance.

Infrastructure Reliability: Improve system reliability through practices such as high availability design, disaster recovery planning, and performance optimization.

Technical Leadership: Lead design discussions, review code, and guide engineers to maintain high standards in software development and DevOps practices.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and improve developer experience.
