Role Overview

The Director, FP&A - Executive Decision Support is a senior finance leader within UKG, responsible for driving enterprise-level financial planning and analysis while leading high-impact, cross-functional strategic finance initiatives that directly influence revenue growth, retention, margin, cash flow, and customer value.

This role operates at the intersection of Corporate FP&A, commercial strategy, and executive decision-making. The Director partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business strategy, customer dynamics, pricing, and commercial decisions into clear financial insights that improve decision quality and long-term enterprise outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise FP&A & Executive Decision Support

  • Lead enterprise-level financial planning, forecasting, and performance management with a focus on actionable insights and performance improvement.
  • Partner with the CFO, executive leadership team, and Board to deliver clear financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and commercial decisions.
  • Prepare executive-ready reporting and presentations that clearly articulate performance drivers and trends.

Strategic & Commercial Finance
  • Provide financial analysis and modeling support for cross-functional strategic initiatives tied to commercial performance and customer value.
  • Translate customer, product, pricing, and commercial changes into clear financial implications.
  • Establish KPIs, financial guardrails, and success metrics for disciplined evaluation of initiatives.
  • Support initiative design through ROI analysis and performance tracking.

Strategic Special Projects
  • Lead high-impact, ad hoc strategic finance projects sponsored by the CFO or executive leadership.
  • Develop scenario-based analyses and decision frameworks for complex, ambiguous business questions.
  • Act as a finance thought partner on emerging priorities requiring rapid synthesis of data and insight.

Revenue Growth, Retention & Commercial Governance
  • Partner with commercial leaders on revenue growth and retention initiatives.
  • Lead financial support for credits and concessions governance.
  • Ensure commercial decisions align with customer lifetime value, margin, and cash flow objectives.
  • Partner with Legal, Deal Desk, Accounting, and business leaders on non-standard commercial situations.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner across Corporate, Commercial, and Services organizations.
  • Represent Finance in cross-functional forums related to renewals, retention, and customer value.
  • Drive alignment between commercial actions and long-term financial strategy.

Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Strengthen scalable reporting, analytics, and financial processes to improve decision velocity.

Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience with 5+ years in FP&A and people leadership.
  • Proven experience supporting executive decision-making through complex financial analysis.
  • Strong commercial finance acumen, including pricing, retention, renewals, or deal economics.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience in a public company or IPO environment preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Anaplan, IBM Planning Analytics, Power BI, or similar tools.

The pay range for this position is $145,600 to $200,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
