About the Role

As a TPM in the GSS team, you will drive critical Data Engineering programs collaborating with multiple stakeholders from cross functional teams across the Org. You will be acting as a crucial data partner to stakeholder teams to own and drive processes for creating high quality data assets for analytics and ML applications.

This will involve partnering closely with them to conceptualize Data Engineering solutions, own the program organization and execution, collaborating with vendor teams , routinely track and manage program progress ,publish progress reports to leadership teams. You will look for ways to standardize program execution , set accountability by tracking progress, resolve dependencies, proactively identify risks and communicate status to leadership and stakeholders.

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  1. Lead complex and diverse programs in the Data Eng space to build data foundations and systems for high quality data assets for the company.
  2. Partner with diverse teams like other Data Eng teams, Data Science, Product, ML to define scope , gather requirements , propose solutions, plan timelines and dependencies.
  3. Lead the vendor partner teams to drive execution , unblocking them on technical challenges, maintain accountability, track progress, proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  4. Maintain program governance, defining and measuring KPI, reporting status and issues to leadership.
  5. Conceptualize and deploy Generative AI-based solutions for the automation of Data Engineering workflows aimed at improving program efficiency.

---- Basic Qualifications ----
  1. 8+ years in technical program management or data engineering development. Technical background in Data Engineering is a must. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a team lead managing Data Engineers is preferred.
  2. Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python.
  3. Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts.
  4. Good knowledge of designing ETL pipelines utilizing the Hadoop Tech Stack.
  5. Proven ability to design high-quality, end-to-end data solutions in an Agile environment, from requirement gathering through production deployment. Proficient in tools like JIRA for program tracking.
  6. Demonstrate strong team leadership, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills, effectively bridging technical and non-technical audiences.
  7. Exhibit a strong focus on strategic problem-solving, thriving in ambiguous situations to architect and deliver long-term, scalable solutions.
  8. Leverage Generative AI to drive efficiency and develop cutting-edge solutions for various data-related inefficiencies and challenges.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----
  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a team lead managing Data Engineers is preferred.
  2. Proven ability to design high-quality, end-to-end data solutions in an Agile environment, from requirement gathering through production deployment.
  3. Experience using Generative AI to drive efficiency for various data-related inefficiencies and challenges.
