About the Team

Uber is committed to the tech scene in Brazil and Latin America! The Rio de Janeiro Tech Office is Uber's newest engineering center. We're expecting to hire more than 200 engineers, and this role will be essential to attract the best talent in the region.

About the Role

  • Design, implement, and launch critical programs and projects to create a world-class tech environment for our Rio engineering office;
  • Partner with our São Paulo Tech Program Management team to promote the Rio tech office both publicly and internally. Helping to attract the best talent and improve our engineering brand;
  • Understand all facets of the tech team experience, and collaborate to continuously improve it;
  • Develop site-wide programs for interns, new hires, visitors, and more. Driving creative approaches - including working with external companies, universities, groups, and institutions to organize career events;
  • Organize internal and external office events, meetups, team trips, and outings (there is a lot of celebrating here at Uber!);
  • Work closely with our fIT and facilities staff to ensure our physical environment is always best in class for the team.

Technical Skills

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience working with Program Management, Community Management, Tech Marketing, and/or Tech Employer Branding;
  • Fluent/Advanced English skills;
  • Experience in scaling and forecasting growth in an engineering site;
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing community-focused events and content campaigns for a technical audience;
  • Strong knowledge of the local tech ecosystem, including key companies, technical communities, universities, and industry trends;
  • Ability to use metrics to extract insights of the program effectiveness, to guide future strategies.

Please note: this hybrid position is based in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, welcoming both local professionals and those open to relocating to Rio.
