Strategy & Operations Lead, Global Delivery Partnerships, Delivery - LATAM
About the Role
Uber Delivery is transforming on-demand delivery and making everyday experiences more convenient - from ordering meals from local restaurants to shopping for groceries and everyday essentials. Across Latin America, the Delivery team helps create value for customers, merchant partners, and delivery earners by enabling new ways to connect and grow through the platform.
The Strategic Merchant Operations Manager role is an opportunity to help scale and strengthen the Uber Eats business across LATAM. In this role, you will partner closely with internal teams and some of Uber Eats' largest restaurant partners to drive operational excellence, identify growth opportunities, and improve business performance. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving, strong relationship management, and a hands-on approach to execution.
What You'll Do
- Use Uber data and analytical tools to generate insights, improve processes, and support operational decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities across merchant and operational performance metrics.
- Build and scale automated reporting infrastructure to support forecasting, prioritization, and execution of business initiatives based on local market needs and partner priorities.
- Lead business review cadences and develop reporting frameworks that promote alignment, accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop scalable tools, insights, and operational processes to support business growth and improve merchant partner experiences.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maximize platform capabilities and drive operational efficiencies.
- Share best practices and operational learnings with peers across Uber's global and regional teams.
- Work closely with strategic merchant partners to identify opportunities and drive measurable business outcomes.
- Represent the Uber Eats mission, brand, and products while serving as a trusted problem solver for partners and internal teams.
- Design and implement partner-focused financial models to help local teams identify opportunities and communicate insights to senior business stakeholders.
- Serve as a key liaison between LATAM Grocery & Delivery partners and Global Product and Technology teams by translating local operational challenges into scalable product improvement opportunities.
What You'll Need
Basic Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, finance, investment banking or a related field.
- Strong experience managing and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and levels.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to interpret business and operational data and translate insights into strategic recommendations and growth opportunities.
- Advanced English proficiency
- Experience working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas.
- Ability to build trust, understand partner needs, maintain long-term relationships, and proactively identify opportunities and risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with teams including Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience working with P&L management, business profitability, and growth drivers.
We are looking for:
- Demonstrated ability to design and scale processes, tools, and frameworks that solve complex business problems, rather than relying on manual execution.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to engage senior finance stakeholders, understand profitability drivers, and translate business opportunities into clear P&L and ROI impact.
- Proven track record of partnering with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmaps and deliver scalable solutions that address key business challenges.
