About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, execution-driven leader with strong stakeholder management skills to join Uber Mexico's Taxi team. The Taxi Team is responsible for developing and executing strategies for integrating taxis onto Uber's platform.This is a unique opportunity to lead one of Uber Mexico's biggest product bets, acting as the Program and Product Lead to strategically scale a high-impact offering.

This product launch is a LATAM-first initiative and a high-profile role. You will be responsible for scaling the product driving rapid growth, and ensuring successful integration across local and global operations.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Strategy & Scaling: Develop and own the comprehensive strategy for the aggressive scaling of the product, working hand in hand with our external tech partner and other potential strategic stakeholders/partners
  • End-to-End Program Leadership: Lead the entire product launch lifecycle, ensuring all program milestones are met on time, within budget, and with operational excellence
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the central liaison, driving cross-functional strategic alignment across Uber's Product, Global Hailables, LATAM Operations teams, crossfunctions, as well as the external Partner teams
  • Expansion & Growth: Scope new geographic expansion opportunities across Mexico and develop clear, data-backed launch roadmaps
  • Product Roadmap Management: Lead the local product partnership, translating local market needs into actionable insights. Document, prioritize, and drive local feature requests into the global product roadmap
  • Best Practice Standardization: Define, document, and standardize key operational playbooks and processes for the Taxi platform, ensuring replicable excellence as the product scales
  • Governance: Oversee project governance, proactively identify and unblock execution risks, and manage high-level reporting for senior leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of proven experience in Strategy, Operations, Consulting, or a related field within high-growth tech or scale-up environments
  • Strong Track Record in Scaling: Demonstrated success in building and executing strategies to grow a product or business line from inception to scale
  • Expert Program Management: A history of successfully leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs in challenging, fast-moving settings
  • Exceptional Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly adept at navigating and influencing internal and external stakeholders to ensure success of a programme. Experience in executive level communication is crucial
  • Executional Excellence: Able to get into the details and implement solutions to make the project a success, whilst still maintaining a view of the strategic objectives
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable working with complex data, generating clear reporting, and influencing critical business decisions through structured problem-solving
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is essential

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mobility technology companies.
  • Experience in SQL
