Yesterday Mexico City, Mexico

About the Role

We're looking for a strategic and collaborative leader to guide Strategy and Planning for Uber Eats' Retail business in Mexico. Our Retail portfolio spans diverse categories-including Groceries, Convenience, Pharma, Alcohol, Beauty, Home Improvement, and more.

In this role, you'll help shape the future of Uber Eats Retail in Mexico-defining our vision, setting priorities, and creating the plans and processes to get us there.

You'll lead key areas such as strategic planning, market and competitive analysis, investment prioritization, geographic strategy, and high-impact initiatives. Your work will help define short-, medium-, and long-term goals and ensure teams across the organization are aligned and delivering on them.

As a trusted partner to the Mexico Retail General Manager, you'll play a key role in driving efficiency, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and identifying smart growth opportunities. You'll also help improve our tools, processes, and operating models to make the business more scalable and effective.

This is a highly cross-functional position-working closely with leaders in Operations, Sales, Product, Finance, Marketing, Communications, and Policy-to unlock growth and deliver operational excellence in one of Uber's most dynamic markets.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Mexico Retail GM to define and execute the short-, medium-, and long-term strategy for Uber Eats Retail.
  • Lead the strategic planning cycles-including annual planning, quarterly reviews, and business performance tracking.
  • Manage the operating cadence for the Retail business to ensure visibility, accountability, and alignment across teams.
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform key business decisions and investment priorities.
  • Build and refine frameworks for geographic strategy, resource allocation, and performance management.
  • Define and track key metrics, translating insights into clear actions and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate across teams-Operations, Sales, Product, Finance, Marketing, Policy, and Comms-to deliver on strategic initiatives.
  • Lead and support special projects that drive growth, efficiency, or innovation across Retail.
  • Improve and scale tools, processes, and documentation that enable operational excellence.
  • Contribute to cross-functional strategic projects as needed (e.g., Future of Work or other initiatives).

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in strategy, business planning, operations, consulting, analytics, tech, or finance.
  • Strong financial acumen, with a deep understanding of ROI, investment trade-offs, and performance levers.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen (P&L and ROI).
  • Forecasting and investment prioritization
  • Proven success partnering with regional and global teams to drive cross-functional execution.
  • Experience designing and scaling business planning processes, operating rhythms, and performance reviews.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Spanish.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides.
  • Basic - intermediate SQL experience is a MUST.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
