About the Team
At ANZ Mobility, we#GoGetIt , you'll get to work on challenging problems that require deep strategic thinking to deliver for our customers and make magic in the Uber marketplace. Your work will impact customers here and globally. It could involve building a strategy for targeting high value customers, building a more sustainable future for mobility, to discovering the best way to increase rider engagement through our membership program. This isn't about cutting and pasting from a playbook, it's about writing the playbook.
About the Role
The Marketplace team manages the core mechanics of our ANZ business, responsible for the balancing of rider and driver supply through pricing, incentives, and operational levers. We provide strategic inputs into forecasting and planning cycles, and ensure the marketplace remains healthy, reliable, and sustainable.
We're looking for a sharp, data-driven operator to own our reliability and driver incentives strategy for the ANZ Marketplace team. As a Strategy and Operations Manager, you will lead some of the most critical levers in the marketplace, designing, executing, and optimising incentive and reliability strategies that directly shape driver behaviour, service quality, and overall marketplace health across cities.

You will use data to diagnose complex supply and demand problems, develop practical solutions, and exercise strong judgement to make trade offs in a fast moving environment. Working closely with Product, Finance, and regional leadership, you will have end to end ownership of high impact initiatives, with your decisions driving immediate, real world outcomes for drivers, riders, and the business.
The Impact You'll Have
- Take full ownership of driver incentives and reliability across the ANZ region. You will be responsible for reliability and marketplace health, deploying actions to achieve best-in-class supply outcomes.
- Design, execute, and optimise driver incentive programs to influence supply, reliability, and driver behaviour in line with business objectives
- Own governance, reporting, and performance tracking of key marketplace and reliability metrics for senior business leadership
- Own the performance tracking and governance of key marketplace and reliability metrics for senior leadership
- Partner closely with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to test, launch, and scale new marketplace tools and policies
- Provide critical inputs into forecasting, pricing, and planning, incorporating seasonality, competitive dynamics, and budget constraints into strategies
The Experience You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, data analytics, or a high-growth strategy role.
- Strong data-driven decision making and business acumen, with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and work effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to go deep into granular data while maintaining the ability to structure and simplify complex business problems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional teams
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable operating with high autonomy and delivering results against tight timelines
- Hands-on operator who doesn't just design frameworks, but can rapidly test, iterate, and scale initiatives in a live environment
Bonus Points
- Comfortable navigating analytically heavy topics. SQL experience is highly preferred to allow for independent data extraction and analysis (or a strong willingness to learn it quickly).
- Deep understanding of supply and demand mechanics, with the ability to balance abstract data insights and real world operational constraints
