About the Role

Uber Eats is a three-sided marketplace-Eaters, Merchants, and Couriers-and our team's job is to ensure all three sides grow in harmony. We are looking for high-caliber Strategy & Operations Managers to join our Canada team. In this role, you will own a core pillar of our marketplace (Eater, Merchant, or Courier/Marketplace) and lead the strategy for how that segment interacts with our platform.

Whether you are optimizing eater retention, merchant profitability, or courier marketplace reliability, you will be the "CEO" of your business area. You will sit at the intersection of product and operations, using data to solve complex problems and executing at scale to fundamentally change how Canadians eat and shop.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Roadmap: Own the end-to-end strategy for your marketplace segment, identifying growth opportunities and building the operational playbooks to capture them
  • Marketplace Optimization & Pricing: Manage the strategic deployment of incentives, pricing levers, and promotional spend, analyzing elasticity to balance growth with sustainable unit economics
  • Performance Management: Own the core KPIs for your business area (e.g., LTV, Churn, Reliability, or Take Rate) and drive "quantum leap" improvements in performance
  • Experimentation & Analysis: Design and execute rigorous A/B experiments to optimize marketplace behavior, using data to decide whether to pivot, kill, or scale initiatives
  • Product-Ops Bridge: Partner with Global Product teams to launch and localize new features in the Canadian market, ensuring they meet the unique needs of our local ecosystem
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Global Ops to drive complex, multifaceted projects to completion

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in management consulting, high-growth tech, investment banking, or strategic operations
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of two or three-sided marketplaces and the levers that drive balance and efficiency
  • Experience with data / financial analysis and modeling, price elasticity, or advanced data visualization (Tableau, Python/R)
  • Experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM strategy, or merchant/courier retention strategies
  • Understands how a change on one side of the platform (e.g., Courier earnings) impacts the other sides (e.g., Eater delivery times)
  • Ability to integrate complex data into sensible business judgments, understanding that every investment must drive measurable returns
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced culture and enjoy quickly iterating on plans to find the most efficient path to success
  • Consider yourself to be a status-quo challenger who is constantly looking for disruptive opportunities to improve performance and don't settle for incremental gains
  • Excel at leading multifaceted projects with many partners and can communicate complex strategies simply

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$89,000 per year - CAD$99,000 per year.
