The Strategic Merchant Operations Manager role is a unique opportunity to help grow Uber Eats. In this position, you will focus on driving operational excellence by partnering with internalstakeholders and some of our largest restaurant partners. This role calls for creative problem-solving, advanced analytics, critical thinking, a desire for execution excellence and outstanding relationship-building skills.

What You'll Do
- Develop best-in-class tools, data insights, and processes to effectively uplevel and scale operations across our business and our merchant partners
- Share and scale best in class learnings to peers in similar roles across the other Uber mega-regions
- Partner with stakeholders from our largest merchants to uncover opportunities and strategically drive business outcomes.
- Work cross-functionally to make decisions that require alignment across internal and external stakeholders
- Develop analytical frameworks to project, generate, and prioritize business initiatives
- Drive reporting frameworks to facilitate alignment, learning, improvement, and accountability
- Provide clarity and insight to cross-functional product and tech stakeholders related to building technical products and solutions for our largest merchants.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, tech, finance, or related field
- 1+ years of previous experience at Uber preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management
- Excellent relationship management, collaboration, and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences (including senior exec-level internal and external stakeholders)
- Proficiency with SQL and strong data acumen
- Experience setting strategic direction working with complex stakeholder groups on executional plans
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic problems, usingwith a deeply analytical and data-driven approach
- Financial acumen, understanding investments and different means of measuring return
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing across functions in a matrix organization and comfort engaging senior partners and cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present complex information clearly and effectively to senior business leaders
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$146,000 per year - USD$162,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
