1. Design, develop, and improve systems and products used by millions of members, in collaboration with a team of talented engineers, Product Managers, and Designers.
2. Write high-quality code and uphold standards for testing and coverage.
3. Align the team on solutions to ambiguous problems and analyze the tradeoffs of different technical solutions
4. Contribute to engineering cultivation in terms of quality, monitoring, and on-call practices.
5. Mentor and coach other engineers.
6. Find opportunities to improve how our team operates and promote standard processes

---- Basic Qualifications ----

1. 10+ years of experience delivering, scaling, and owning highly successful and innovative software products with your fingerprints all over them - you're extremely proud of what you've accomplished.
2. Proven record of engineering and coding skills. Ability to write high-performance production-quality code. Experience in Go, Python, Java, or other equivalent languages.
3. Perseverance to get things done with a focus on shipping online production systems. Roadblocks don't get in your way - they get you excited for the challenge.
4. A deep love of building elegant, maintainable, well-documented code. Abstracting and refactoring should be a passion, not a chore.
5. Drive to always learn new things and go above and beyond the call of duty.
6. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Always working to improve yourself and constructively support the team around you.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

1. Highly efficient coding in Golang, Java, or any similar languages.
2. Comfortable dealing with system complexity
3. Strong background in data analytics tools such as Hive or similar.
4. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
6. Proven experience of shipping high-quality product features on schedule and with high velocity
7. Great sense of ownership
8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex ideas to various stakeholders.
