Sr Strategy & Planning Associate, Global Retail

We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our Global Strategy & Planning team as the Sr Strategy & Planning Associate. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping and executing Uber's Retail strategy. You will focus on working to distill business insights to craft an informed strategy, developing and executing strategic initiatives, and working cross-functionally to ensure that Retail has a clear and actionable roadmap.
This role requires a blend of analytical savvy, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

What the Candidate Will Do
- Business Analysis: Conduct deep analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, and internal performance data in the Retail vertical to inform strategic decisions and provide actionable insights.
- Program Management: Lead strategic initiatives end-to-end to enhance Uber's retail-related offerings. This includes managing projects like scale competitive pricing benchmarking, cost savings, and launching new programs or features. Ensure these initiatives are well-planned, executed on schedule, and deliver on their targets.
- Performance Tracking: Develop metrics and dashboards to track progress against goals, and lead regular performance reviews with leadership to ensure that the business is on track to achieve its objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with key cross-functional teams, including Operations, Product, Finance, and Marketing, to develop and implement initiatives that align with the overall strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering
- English Proficiency
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in strategy, operations, retail, retail operations, e-commerce, or consulting.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience using data-driven insights to influence decision-making. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, and comfort working with large datasets.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive operational improvements. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of executing initiatives from planning to results.
- Communication: Effective communicator with the ability to translate data and insights into compelling stories. Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders and leadership.

- Advanced Degree: MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field.
- High-Growth Environment: Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment (such as a tech company, startup, or consulting) where you've had to adapt quickly, tackle ambiguous problems, and collaborate across teams.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive, ownership mentality with a bias for action. Comfortable working independently when needed, and excited to innovate and continuously improve processes in an evolving space.
