Sr. Strategy & Operations Manager - New Supply

1 week ago Taipei, Taiwan

About the Role

As the Sr. Strategy & Operations Manager for New Supply, you will be the architect of Uber's future supply landscape in Taiwan. This isn't just about managing existing operations-it's about building what's next. Your mission is to identify where the next wave of supply will come from, unlocking "big bet" growth levers ranging from incentivizing Power DP (high-engagement) segments and fleet partnerships to autonomous vehicle (AV) delivery and entirely new modalities. Beyond exploring new frontiers, you will fundamentally evolve our marketplace by driving high-commitment engagement, ensuring Uber remains the premier platform for our most dedicated partners.

We are looking for a strategic heavy-hitter who can pivot seamlessly from a 10,000-foot market view to the granular execution of an experimental pilot. You will lead the end-to-end journey of supply innovation: from building compelling business cases to leading the cross-functional execution required to bring these breakthroughs to life. Your work will ensure Uber stays ahead of the curve, maintaining our competitive edge in a rapidly shifting regulatory and technological landscape.

What You'll Do:

1. Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends, translating global insights into deep-dive market analyses and comprehensive GTM plans for new supply channels.
2. Build and present compelling business cases to senior leadership to secure resources and cross-functional buy-in for high-impact "big bet" initiatives.
3. Design and execute rigorous pilots to test hypotheses, extracting key learnings to build sustainable, scalable models while ensuring a seamless experience for Delivery Partners.
4. Drive incremental Supply Hours to fuel total platform growth, implementing strategic levers to encourage full-time behavior and ensure supply health scales alongside demand.
5. Act as a strategic partner to other Lines of Business (e.g., Grocery, Direct), ensuring supply models are optimized to support their specific project needs and growth objectives.
6. Orchestrate collaboration across Global/Regional Product, Legal, and Policy teams, as well as external government entities, to navigate complexity and drive projects forward.
7. Serve as a catalyst for innovation by encouraging teams to embrace high-stakes challenges and cultivating a culture that pushes beyond the status quo.

What You'll Need:

1. Fluent in both English & Mandarin is a must.
2. 6+ years of experience in Strategy, Operations, or Product Management within a fast-paced, data-driven environment (e.g., Tech, Consulting, or high-growth startups).
3. Advanced analytical rigor with a proven ability to size impact and track performance, maintaining a high level of attention to detail when designing experiments that yield actionable data.
4. A proven track record of managing multi-layered project workstreams and complex launch timelines with a high degree of autonomy.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Exceptional executive influence and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into persuasive narratives that align senior leadership and external regulators.
2. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills to manage external partnerships and drive favorable outcomes in complex contract discussions.
3. A relentless growth mindset and "go-get-it" attitude, with the curiosity to challenge existing frameworks and identify disruptive, outside-the-box growth levers.
4. A high level of comfort with ambiguity, demonstrating the resilience to lead through uncertainty and maintain momentum when pursuing disruptive, high-stakes initiatives.

Uber's mission is to reimagine the way the world moves for the better. Here, bold ideas create real-world impact, challenges drive growth, and speed fuelds progress. What moves us, moves the world - let's move it forward, together.

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time. Please speak with your recruiter to better understand in-office expectations for this role.
