About the Role

Engineering at Uber means building for real-world impact under real-world constraints. The problems are complex, the systems are massive, and the pace is fast. This Senior Fullstack position is a unique opportunity to join our engineering team in Brazil.
Lead with impact as you design, build, and maintain user-facing features end-to-end that directly support how people and things move in the real world.
What You'll Do

- Navigate messy, high-impact problems in fast-changing environments, often without a clear starting point, to ship thoughtful and practical solutions at speed.
- Own your work end-to-end: from the first design doc to debugging production issues when the stakes are high for our global user base.
- Champion engineering best practices such as code health, comprehensive testing, and system design clarity.
What You'll Need
- +7 years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining complex large-scale applications.
- Expertise in one or more backend languages (e.g., Go, Java, or Python) and frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, and React).
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and designing high-throughput, low-latency APIs.
- Proven ability to own project development end-to-end, including requirements gathering, architecture design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Advanced English communication skills, written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with globally distributed cross-functional teams.
