Sr Site Merchandising Manager - Global Merchandising Tech Enablement
About the Role
The Retail Vertical is a high-growth engine within our business, enabling consumers to discover and shop for global brands and categories with ease. As the Global Merchandising Tech Enablement Lead, you will be the foundational architect of the processes and technical standards that power our global merchandising strategy. This is a newly created, high-impact role where you will turn data-driven experiments into a world-class consumer journey.
You will work cross-functionally to lead technical initiatives that scale globally. You will have total autonomy to innovate, execute A/B tests, and build the \"Tech Enablement\" playbook from scratch as we exponentially grow this new arm of the business.
What You'll Do
- Define the global vision and roadmap for merchandising experiments, including promotional ideas, merchant category-specific use cases and requirements
- Own and champion the merchandising tech opportunities log, directly influencing technical planning and prioritization for the global roadmap
- Drive implementation and adoption of technical instructions for site publishing, language translations, and merchandising tooling
- Design and execute innovative A/B tests to optimize engagement, conversion rates, and ROI
- Coordinate and triage tooling issues and \"bugs,\" ensuring flawless technical execution across all digital platforms
- Govern local market strategies for content selection, product pinning, and theme prioritization to ensure global brand consistency
- Measure platform health and report on performance regularly against key metrics, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Develop and maintain effective workflows and timelines to ensure the efficient execution of all merchandising initiatives
- Tell the consumer story using performance data and industry trends to enhance the consumer journey and influence senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with Global Category Leads to define scope and priorities across diverse product categories and international markets
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in merchandising, e-commerce, or related roles
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in architecting scalable content frameworks and merchandising workflows
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making and optimize merchandising strategies
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and build complex processes from the ground up

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$146,000 per year - USD$162,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
