Sr Program Manager, HR Programs and Infrastructure

About the Role

As a Sr. Program Manager you will be focused on driving globally scaled HR initiatives for the People & Places org at Uber. You will lead the deployment and operationalization of core People programs, partnering closely with our COEs to translate program vision into actionable execution plans for people teams, managers, and employees. By leveraging data-driven insights and rigorous project management, you will ensure our global programs are not only adopted but highly effective in enhancing the employee experience.

The role is equal parts strategist and architect, focused on operationalizing complex programs, defining success through data, and ensuring our people programs drive real impact across the organization.

What You'll Do

- Lead the planning, execution, and scaling of Uber's global people programs (e.g. annual Performance Management initiatives and programs, Manager Enablement, and more).
- Serve as the primary bridge between Global Centers of Excellence (COE) and the broader organization. You will take high-level program designs and \"operationalize\" them for the Uber environment.
- Partner with across P&P teams, Legal, Finance, and Leadership to align program goals with broader business objectives while taking smart organizational risks.
- Continuously audit existing HR program workflows to identify process improvements leveraging the full capabilities of Uber's people tech landscape and HR service delivery teams.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for programs and present insights to the Leadership Team (both People and Business teams) to illustrate progress and impact.
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication and training plans to ensure effective program rollouts to the people teams, managers, and employees.
- Establish mechanisms to capture feedback from HR Partners, employees and managers to iterate on program design, ensuring HR products are having intended impact.

Basic Qualifications

- 8+ years of professional, related experience in people operations, HR generalist, HR advisor, HR business partner, or project/program manager in human resources.

Preferred Qualifications

- Project Management: experience in running HR projects, can coordinate and prioritize new projects, and support the business & people teams through significant process changes.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven experience partnering and leading project teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strategic Communication: Demonstrated ability to distill complex program mechanics into high-level, leadership updates. You can synthesize data and status into concise narratives that drive executive decision-making.
- Operational Design: Experience \"operationalizing\" abstract HR concepts. You have a knack for building the tools, playbooks, and training needed for HR teams, employees, and managers to execute programs effectively.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to define and track KPIs and use data to identify bottlenecks and proactively propose solutions to program challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Workday and/or Oracle experience as well as experience using ServiceNow or similar case management system.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$128,000 per year - USD$142,500 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$142,000 per year - USD$158,000 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$128,000 per year - USD$142,500 per year.

For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
