Sr Operations Associate, Uber Flash (Envios)

About the Role
We are looking for an individual who has strong operational and analytical skills, a strategic business sense, great stakeholder management and project management skills. In this role, you will play a critical role in creating, tailoring and executing the strategy of one of our key products for Brazil. Your work will consist of understanding users pain points, suggesting solutions for their key problems and executing them through a cross-functional work with other teams across Uber in order to drive growth.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Strategic Ownership: Be one of the main advocates for a product vertical in Brazil helping to develop and implement strategy to achieve business priorities.
- Business Sense: Monitor, understand, and interpret key operational and financial metrics to help figure out strategy and action plans. Develop and apply understanding of the levers that move our business.
- Problem Solving: Identify the root cause of risks and opportunities, propose multiple, practical solutions, and weigh tradeoffs to recommend best approach that will be shared and executed across different teams.
- Process Optimization: Implement, optimize, and scale core analyses and processes across Brazil
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain productive working relationships with peers and cross-functional partners across operations, product/eng, marketing, customer support, communications, policy, and legal to implement initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- +5 years experience in operations, business consulting, strategic planning, innovation or similar analytical role
- Data-Driven Mentality: Make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture
- Planning & Organization: Ability to create project plans with project stages, milestones, basic interdependencies, and owners
- Project Management: Deliver work through others, being able to execute things that are not within our scope through a good governance
- Executional Excellence: Ability to work and accomplish multiple tasks in parallel, delivering results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, while maintaining high-quality work standards
- English proficiency: you'll need to be able to interpret and present information in English to various audiences, being engaging and comprehensive, but succinct on your speech
- Teamwork: Demonstrate optimism, respect others, and work well in a team. Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and responsibilities. Maintains healthy working relationships, even in disagreements
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer centric vision: Knowing how to really understand users pain points through data and qualitative insights and also how to deliver good solutions for their pain points.
- Advocate for Change: Experience proposing and prioritizing product features that improve user experience and drive growth, collaborating with global Product teams to turn local insights into global innovations.
- Strong Communication (Verbal and Written): Excelling at conveying ideas, expectations, and strategies clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders - including peers, senior executives, and external partners.
- Experience with Google Sheets and SQL
