Sr Operations Associate, Rider Growth
About the Role
The Rider team's goal is to deliver the best possible way for people to move and move items around so no one can even picture themselves doing it through any other means. The Sr Operations Manager role contributes to this goal by reaching out to new and current Uber riders, personalizing offerings according to their needs and therefore increasing their engagement in the platform. This person will also be responsible for growing our rider base and taking a leading role on external partnerships that will provide access to potential new users. This role requires an eye for business, as well as analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Execute projects focused on improving our user's engagement
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to get everyone aligned in solving the same issues
- Perform data analyses and experiments to find opportunities to grow the Brazil rides business
- Supervise metrics to ensure business performance and support our decision making process with an analytical approach
- Advise leadership on tough tradeoffs and propose and execute strategic improvements that may involve several teams with a strong impact;
- Quickly act on unexpected deviations or issues that might impact our overall goals;
- Manage governance around national engagement and growth metrics, in order to keep the business running.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in analytical, strategic and fast paced roles, such as consulting, tech, startup, operations and banking;
- Great project management skills;
- Developed stakeholder management skills;
- Good eye for business and problem solving skills;
- Action driven mentality and sound business jdgment through strong analytical thinking;
- Ability to translate quantitative findings into action plans;
- SQL + Basic Statistics knowledge and a passion for data needed
- Portuguese and English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Python is a plus
- Advanced statistics knowledge
- Experience with external partnerships
- Experience with mentoring junior talent
