About the Role
Uber Advertising is seeking a Senior Manager to lead a technical solutions group that empowers advertisers and partners through seamless API integrations, platform troubleshooting, and early adoption of new ad products. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned engineering leader with deep knowledge of web programming, advertising technology systems, and systems architecture, guiding a team of Technical Solutions Architects and Technical Operations Specialists while collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, sales, and customer success teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a technical solutions team: Oversee a team of Technical Solutions Architects and Technical Operations Specialists, providing vision, coaching, and technical direction to foster a high-performance culture and successful project delivery.
- Drive partner integrations and new product rollouts: Guide the end-to-end execution of partner API integrations, custom ad solutions, and early product implementations, ensuring seamless integration and on-time rollout for advertisers and partners.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance: Step in as a technical expert when needed - reviewing system designs, advising on coding patterns, and troubleshooting complex integration issues to support your team in delivering robust ad platform solutions
- Improve and scale operational processes: Streamline ad operations workflows by developing better processes, tools, and documentation, driving efficiency and automation to support rapid growth and international scalability
- Collaborate cross-functionally for platform excellence: Work closely with operations, engineering, product, sales, and customer success teams to address platform issues, align on new features, and drive initiatives that improve overall ad platform stability, integration quality, and global scalability
Basic Qualifications
- Strong web and systems expertise: Deep knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, RESTful APIs, etc.) and programming (e.g. Python, JavaScript), coupled with a solid understanding of system architecture and design principles
- Proven problem-solving and scaling skills: Track record of leading technical integrations and troubleshooting efforts, improving platform stability and scaling operational processes or tools in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across engineering, product, sales, and support teams to deliver complex projects and enhance advertiser outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive technical leadership experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, ad tech, or technical solutions roles (with 5+ years in a leadership capacity), demonstrating strategic planning and the ability to set technical direction for teams
- Ad tech domain knowledge: Hands-on experience with digital advertising systems and integrations and familiarity with ad serving platforms, APIs, programmatic advertising, and related ad tech infrastructure.
- Familiarity with common APIs and development frameworks

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$217,000 per year - USD$241,500 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$241,000 per year - USD$268,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$241,000 per year - USD$268,000 per year.
