Software Engineer II

The Compute Platform team builds the next generation of Uber's global container orchestration platform on Kubernetes-designed to be secure, reliable, scalable, and highly efficient. Our infrastructure spans both on-prem data centers and cloud environments, supporting a diverse range of workloads including stateless, stateful, batch, streaming, and ML/AI.

We build the foundations that allow any Uber application or job to be deployed anywhere in the world at the touch of a button. Our team develops powerful abstractions so that Uber engineers can operate services without worrying about underlying infrastructure complexity.

We are deeply involved in the open-source community, actively contributing to Kubernetes and regularly presenting our work at industry forums such as KubeCon (2023, 2024 sessions).

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office.
