About the Role

We are looking for a Sr Manager for APAC Supply Sourcing operations, to build the freelance supply and build and manage processes across several geographies to help expand the network and footprint on the ground.

This role will need to build sourcing channels, work with x-fn stakeholders to unlock different supply/sourcing channels, optimizing onboarding & freelance experts lifecycle, partnering with core delivery and mobility teams and product teams to build, operationalize, and improve efficiency of the marketplace.

You will work closely with both local and regional teams across regions and support the strategy and execution of how Uber AI Solutions attracts, acquires, and develops skilled gig workers at scale through technology, automation, and process optimization.

What the Candidate Will Do

  1. Adopting innovative strategies for quality sourcing at scale, across APAC.
  2. Utilize various sourcing tools and platforms to attract and monitor qualified candidate pools
  3. Shape and manage the programs: track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to management and project partners.
  4. Work with cross functional teams to ensure project needs are met and resolve issues.
  5. Improve process operational efficiencies, and identify automation opportunities.
  6. Create and own incentive strategy to drive new freelancer acquisition on the platform.
  7. Partner with APAC crossfunctional teams to unblock and launch new supply class and projects across APAC markets.
  8. Prepare and give business reviews to Uber senior management regarding progress against defined KPIs

Basic Qualifications
  1. 4-5 years experience in sourcing, onboarding, and managing large-scale freelance or independent contractor networks, particularly across APAC regions, to ensure a steady supply of talent for business operations.
  2. Proven ability to lead and execute product rollouts or initiatives across multiple regions, with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams, setting timelines, and ensuring smooth implementations in dynamic environments.
  3. Strong skills in analyzing market trends, freelancer performance, and supply chain metrics to optimize supply operations, using tools like Excel, SQL, or similar for data-driven insights.
  4. In-depth knowledge of APAC labor markets, regulations, and cultural nuances, with the ability to adapt strategies to regional differences while working effectively with diverse teams.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Ability to work efficiently and influence others without exerting direct authority.
  7. Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment.
  8. Exceptional written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.

  1. Previous startup experience is good to have.
  2. Consulting or analytics experience is a plus.
