Senior Strategy & Operations Manager, Merchant Onboarding - EMEA

About the Role

As a key member of the EMEA Merchant Success team, you will lead the strategy and operations for merchant onboarding as an individual contributor across Uber Eats' Delivery business in EMEA. This means owning the full onboarding funnel from merchant sign-up through first live order and early retention across both self-serve and sales-assisted channels.

You'll shape the onboarding strategy, build scalable regional frameworks & processes, and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable business impact. This role is both strategic and executional, you'll define the vision and KPIs for onboarding excellence while driving operational rigor and alignment across local and global teams.

You'll play a critical role in Uber Eats' new market launches across EMEA in 2026, ensuring launch-ready onboarding that enables merchants to go live seamlessly.

What You'll Do

  • Set the strategy and drive execution at scale: Define the overarching merchant onboarding strategy for EMEA-covering self-serve, assisted, and enterprise flows-and operationalize it through scalable frameworks, playbooks, and processes that empower local teams to execute with consistency and quality.
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding funnel: Lead integrated initiatives that accelerate merchant activation and readiness-optimizing each stage from sign-up to first order, and ensuring merchants are equipped for sustainable early success.
  • Be accountable for performance: Track and analyze onboarding KPIs such as conversion, time-to-first-order, funnel efficiency, and early retention. Translate insights into actionable plans and report outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Drive operational excellence across EMEA: Collaborate with Country Ops, Commercial teams, Product, Engineering, Community Ops, and Marketing to streamline workflows, scale automation, and strengthen the systems and processes that power onboarding across EMEA markets.
  • Champion the merchant: Keep merchants at the center of every decision, ensuring onboarding experiences are seamless, transparent, and enable long-term success on the platform.
  • Lead new market readiness: Ensure market launch-readiness for merchant onboarding as Uber Eats expands its footprint across EMEA.

What You'll Need

  • Experience: 6+ years in strategy, operations, product, consulting, or similar roles, ideally in a marketplace or B2B2C environment.
  • Communication & stakeholder management: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to influence and align senior cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Problem solving & executional excellence: High agency and self-sufficiency, with a track record of independently driving multiple workstreams end-to-end from strategy through execution.
  • Analytical & business acumen: Ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights and confidently present recommendations to leadership teams. SQL is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Onboarding expertise: Experience in merchant, seller, or partner onboarding at scale (e.g., delivery, fintech, SaaS, or e-commerce).
  • Product-led growth mindset: Familiarity with self-serve models, activation metrics, and time-to-value.
  • Strategic influence: Proven ability to shape product roadmaps, GTM strategies, top-down targets, and operational tooling.
  • Market/Product launch experience: Exposure to designing launch frameworks, operational readiness, enablement content, and localization for multi-country rollouts.
