Senior Strategy & Operations Manager

About the Role
The Mexico Taxi Team is responsible for developing and executing on a strategy for integrating taxis onto Uber's platform - as a means of tapping into new markets and providing opportunities for new earners to work on the platform.
We are seeking an individual who has strong operational and business acumen, who can lead key initiatives to deliver our Taxi strategy. This is a key position to help grow one of Mexico's most exciting growth bets.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Strategic Ownership: Work with leadership to set strategy, lead critical project plans, and help execute
- Problem solving: Scope particular problems around growth, market entry and driver experience to create new solutions
- Executional Excellence: Lead strategic programmes, including building new teams, processes and approaches to grow ourTaxi Business - working with crossfunctional teams
- Business Acumen: Report on Taxi performance, owning operational data and driving analysis to make critical business decisions
- Stakeholder Management: Work with key teams, including the Community Operations team to enhance the Taxi onboarding and driver experience
- Planning & Organization: Ability to plan complex/multi-faceted projects, defining timelines, deliverables, and delegate tasks and responsibilities
- Partnership management: Work with external key taxi and technology partnerships to grow new solutions to onboard and grow the number of taxi drivers working in the platform
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience with a consistent track record of designing new strategies, implementing complex programmes, and growing products/verticals
- Executional Excellence: A strong inclination towards action, and getting things done. Able to identify opportunities and translate them into real change
- Go Get it Attitude: Comfortable working in ambiguous environment where the answers are not always clear. But has the grit and resilience to work with teams to come up with new solutions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and solve complex problems independently
- Easily adapt to a constantly-changing work environment
- Effective communicator and collaborator, especially in cross-functional setups
- Data-driven decision mentality through strong analytical thinking. (Working knowledge of SQL is a strong plus)
- Stakeholder management: experience working across multiple teams - with ability to build strong relationships, and influence other teams
