Senior Strategy & Operations Manager

About the Role
The Mexico Taxi Team is responsible for developing and executing on a strategy for integrating taxis onto Uber's platform - as a means of tapping into new markets and providing opportunities for new earners to work on the platform.
We are seeking an individual who has strong operational and business acumen, who can lead key initiatives to deliver our Taxi strategy. This is a key position to help grow one of Mexico's most exciting growth bets.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Strategic Execution: Proactively identify business needs and issues within the Taxi vertical, prioritizing projects to meet defined strategic objectives
- Problem Solving: Identify the root cause of growth or market entry risks and propose multiple practical solutions, weighing tradeoffs to recommend the best path forward.
- Executional Excellence: Lead the implementation of complex programs and new processes to grow the Taxi business, coordinating effectively with cross-functional support teams
- Business Acumen: Translate insights from operational and financial metrics into actionable plans, owning data analysis to guide project-level decision making
- Stakeholder Management: Build close relationships with internal partners (Community Operations, Marketing, Legal) to optimize the taxi onboarding experience
- Planning & Organization: Plan multi-faceted projects by defining clear timelines, deliverables, and resource interdependencies
Basic Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in operations, strategy, or project management
- Data-Driven Mentality: Experience making decisions based on data analysis; proficiency in SQL is a strong plus
- Adaptability: Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment while maintaining high-quality work standards
- Communication: Proficiency in Spanish and English; demonstrated ability to present data to various audiences in a succinct manner

- Data analysis tools: SQL, Python, and visualization tools
