Senior Strategic Operations Associate, 3P Demand

2 days ago San Francisco, CA

About the Role

Uber's 3P Demand Distribution program is a growth bet focused on "meeting our users where they are." We define 3P Demand as any Uber-branded user transaction initiated within a non-Uber-owned surface-such as booking a ride through WeChat.

As the Senior Strategic Operations Associate for 3P Demand Growth, you will be the primary engine driving the success and scale of these integrations within the US & Canada (US/C) Mobility business. Launching an integration is only the beginning; your mission is to ensure that once a partner is live, we are maximizing its potential. You will bridge the gap between a technical "go live" date and a thriving, high-volume demand channel.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring a "mini-GM" mindset. You will not just manage a project; you will own the Go-to-Market (GTM) execution, working alongside Marketing, Business Development (BD), and Product to "juice" demand, optimize conversion funnels, and ensure Uber is the preferred mobility choice for users on third-party platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Own the GTM Strategy: Develop and execute the US/C Go-to-Market plans for 3P integrations (e.g., WeChat Mobility, Expedia Rides, and future travel/super-app partners), ensuring users are aware of the service and incentivized to use it.
  • Facilitate Demand Generation: Partner closely with Marketing to build multi-channel awareness campaigns (social, digital, OOH) that specifically target the unique audience of each 3P partner.
  • Operationalize Integrations: Act as the "details expert" for each US/C 3P integration. While BD manages the partner relationship, you will manage the internal operational complexity-from setting up local promo codes and tracking metrics to identifying and driving the resolution of critical functional gaps and preparing for feature launches.
  • Optimize the Funnel: Obsess over conversion metrics. You will identify friction points in the 3P user journey and work with Product/Tech teams to implement localized solutions that drive adoption.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage financial levers, including rider incentives and marketing budgets, to drive incremental growth while defending the efficiency and ROI of the 3P portfolio.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the "connective tissue" between BD (who signs the deals), Tech (who builds the integration), and Marketing (who drives awareness), ensuring all teams are aligned on US/C growth targets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish robust reporting for the US/C 3P channel, providing regular visibility to leadership on Gross Bookings (GB) performance and competitive landscape shifts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in economics, management, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in operations, strategy, growth, or program management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Growth Mindset: Proven track record of scaling new products or channels from 0-to-1 in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross-Functional Mastery: Experience influencing stakeholders across Tech, Marketing, and BD to achieve shared business goals.
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to turn complex metrics into actionable GTM frameworks.
  • Operational Detail: The ability to dive deep into technical integration details while maintaining a high-level strategic view of the business.
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills-capable of being collaborative yet firm to drive business objectives.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the travel, super-app, or digital ecosystem (e.g., WeChat, OTA integrations) is highly preferred.
