Senior Operations Manager, Marketplace and Rider, Egypt

About the Role

As a Marketplace & Rider Operations manager, you will drive strategic initiatives to balance supply and demand, implement product improvements, and streamline operational efficiency in Egypt. This high-impact role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and cross-functional collaboration to shape the future of mobility in the market.

What the Candidate Will Do:

1. Optimize Marketplace: Analyze data to understand marketplace dynamics and rider/driver behavior, identifying opportunities for improvement and informing key decisions in Egypt.
2. Drive Innovation: Develop and implement creative solutions to operational challenges, continuously improving existing processes and designing new ones.
3. Lead Product Initiatives: Manage the launch and optimization of new product offerings in the Egypt market, ensuring successful adoption and impact.
4. Leverage Data: Build and utilize dashboards and analytical frameworks to proactively identify issues, provide actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
5. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with local, regional, and global teams to address business challenges and ensure local insights inform broader strategies.
6. Understand Customer Needs: Utilize data to deeply understand the needs of existing and prospective riders, identifying key use cases and experience drivers.
7. Develop Value Propositions: Identify and refine compelling value propositions for target rider segments, aligning global product offerings with their needs.
8. Execute Go-to-Market Strategies: Collaborate with Operations and functional teams to define and implement effective go-to-market plans for rider initiatives.
9. Solve Problems Analytically: Partnering with EMEA Central Ops, use data to identify root causes of issues, drive decisions, and implement effective solutions to improve product and feature performance.
10. Manage Stakeholders: Build strong relationships and effectively manage stakeholders across various Operations and functional teams.
11. Drive Projects: Independently manage and execute multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

What the Candidate Will Need:

1. Min 5 years of operations management experience, ideally in a tech-driven or similar industry.
2. Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
3. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
4. Proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong ownership.
5. Fluency in English is essential

1. Experience in marketplace operations, supply and demand management, or rider lifecycle management.
2. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization (e.g., Tableau).
