About the Role
One of the fundamental goals of the Merchant Operations team in Japan is to ensure we launch merchant facing products effectively to ensure merchant success on the uber eats platform. Our team works closely with cross-functional partners to surface needs, prioritize, test, rollout, and iterate on merchant products for Japan. This role specifically is focused on the product suite that supports Merchants, which encompasses all merchant experiences with the Uber Eats platform.
Your Impact in Role:
- Develop an end-to-end Japan product rollout plan, and project-manage implementation
- Design and lead the communication regarding merchant products for all Japan stakeholders
- Advise product teams on the feasibility of products for Japan throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaborate with key partners (legal, tax, policy, support etc) to prepare the product for launch in Japan
- Track core business metrics and adoption metrics related to the product
- Identify key problem areas and/or geographies impacted by the product post-launch
- Surface and advocate for key insights from the business to advise product improvements
Experience You'll Bring:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in product, program management, operations, business consulting, finance or similar analytical role
- Excellent communication, the ability to engage internal and external customers
- Large scale, global project management experience
- Strategic alignment, able to bring key partners across functions together
- Ability to use data to inform and support critical decisions
- Ability to foster collaboration and facilitate teamwork
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working on complex global projects or product launches in an international setting
- Data Analytics experience, with a familiarity with SQL
- Japanese and English Proficiency
