Senior Manager, Workplace Operations, EMEA
About the Role
The Workplace Operations Manager is a key member of the Global Operations function playing an integral role in our strategic facility and regional service delivery for Uber. This role will assist the Regional Workplace Lead in the operation and management of Uber facilities within a designated area. This role will also serve a crucial integration role among the internal Places team and business stakeholders to ensure projects/activities are carried out in accordance with schedules and budgets.
Reporting to the Regional Workplace Lead, This role will ensure local business priorities are met whilst ensuring high-quality employee experiences. This role will be a trusted advisor to the business and will leverage strategic partners and internal teams to provide the best environment to attract and retain talent, inspire collaboration & innovation and foster pride in the Uber brand whilst balancing cost.
What the Candidate Will Do:
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at a site/country level. Work with the Business Partner to anticipate the business needs, provide insights, obtain local business strategy and work with the Regional Workplace Lead and wider Places team so that the right decisions and solutions are made at the right time
- Own the operational relationship at a site/country local level with the outsourced service provider and other third party vendors, manage performance and issue resolution
- Work with the Business Partner, Global Strategy & Planning (GSP&T) Portfolio Planner and Design & Construction (D&C) Program Manager, Places Communication and drive collaboration under #oneuber to ensure strategies, projects and budgets are delivered to the requirements of the stakeholders
- Ensure the portfolio of properties within designated responsibility continues to provide a great experience for employees and visitors

What the Candidate Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or related field
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in workplace or facilities management
- Experience of managing countries across EMEA

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written with an ability to create presentations for executive decision-making
- Experience in managing outsourced service providers
- Experience in a start-up or fast paced evolving tech environment
