Senior Engineering Manager - Product, Offensive & AI Security
About the Role
As AI-especially GenAI and agentic systems-becomes deeply embedded in modern products, the security landscape is changing rapidly. Traditional AppSec and Offensive Security approaches are no longer sufficient on their own. We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead teams at the intersection of product security, offensive security, DevSecOps, and AI red teaming.
In this role, you will manage and grow teams of security engineers and managers while setting the technical and strategic direction for how we secure products, platforms, and AI agents at scale. You will be responsible for evolving our offensive and product security programs to address AI-native threats, integrating red teaming into development lifecycles, and ensuring security enables-not blocks-innovation.
This role is ideal for a leader who understands both how attackers think and how modern AI-powered systems are built.
What the Candidate Will Do
Lead and manage teams of security engineers and managers, setting clear goals, expectations, and career development paths.
Define and own the strategy for Product Security, Offensive Security, and AI Red Teaming, with a strong focus on GenAI and AI agents.
Evolve AppSec and DevSecOps programs to address modern threats, including CI/CD security, secure design reviews, and shift-left practices.
Build and scale AI red-teaming capabilities, covering:
- prompt injection and jailbreaking
- model, tool, and memory poisoning
- behavioral drift and unsafe autonomy
- tool misuse and emergent privilege escalation
Partner closely with product, platform, and AI teams to embed security into system design and delivery.
Oversee bug bounty, penetration testing, and threat modeling programs, ensuring findings drive real remediation.
Translate offensive findings into actionable guardrails, policies, and engineering improvements.
Influence senior leadership, communicating risk, trade-offs, and strategy clearly and credibly.
Stay ahead of emerging AI security threats, ensuring the organization adapts proactively rather than reactively.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in security engineering, including application, product, or offensive security.
3+ years of experience managing security engineers and/or managers.
Strong background in:
- Application & product security
- Offensive security / red teaming
- Penetration testing and threat modeling
- Bug bounty programs
- DevSecOps practices
Demonstrated experience building and executing security strategy across multiple teams.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive change at scale.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security risks to non-experts.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with AI red teaming or GenAI security, including prompt injection, jailbreaks, or agent misuse.
Strong understanding of GenAI and LLM architectures, and how they change product and offensive security threat models.
Hands-on experience building or operating AI agents, including tool use, memory, or workflow orchestration.
Experience securing cloud-native, distributed systems.
Prior experience scaling security programs in fast-growing engineering organizations.
