Senior Commercial Strategy Analyst (GTM Lead) - Grocery & Retail, UberEats

Yesterday Sydney, Australia

#GreatMindsDon'tThinkAlike At Uber, we take pride in our diversity and working environment that sees you as more than just a person that can do the job, but a unique individual that can level up our organisation with a perspective only you can offer. Uber provides a truly open culture that encourages all to voice their thoughts!

About The Team:

Retail is a startup within Uber, a team focussed on growth, but with the support and leverage of Uber's large global ridesharing and delivery businesses. It is the delivery of everything that isn't restaurant food - think groceries, essentials, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, beauty, and more... We are creating something brand new! Many of the problems we face are new for Uber and require creative solutions that cater to different customers, we're able to solve them because we deeply care #BuildwithHeart.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Retail APAC Delivery Commercial Operations (DCO) team at Uber, supporting our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and broader retail business across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating innovative solutions to complex challenges. You will work closely with Commercial Leaders in the APAC, supporting them in managing business rhythms (pipeline reviews, Monthly/Quarterly Business reviews), enhancing reporting predictability, analyzing business trends, developing local Go-To-Market strategies, and leading growth initiatives. We're looking for someone with strong analytical expertise, strong technical skills and familiarity with sales operations.

In this role, you will perform rigorous analytical and modelling work - building forecasting models, designing quota frameworks, running experiment analysis, and generating insights that directly shape how the Commercial team operates and invests.

What You Will Do:

- Build and own core analytical models - sales forecasts, quota frameworks, pipeline health - with a focus on accuracy, explainability, and repeatability; proactively surface trends and opportunities before they're asked for
- Conduct deep-dive performance analysis across accounts, cohorts, and markets to evaluate commercial initiatives (promotions, pricing, new verticals) and translate findings into clear recommendations
- Own inputs to commercial cadences (MBRs, QBRs, Merchant Reviews), ensuring outputs are consistently executive-ready and high quality
- Lead high-priority strategic and operational projects end-to-end, acting as a trusted analytical partner to Sales, Finance, Strategy, Deal Desk, and Leadership
- Drive continuous improvement to sales processes, reporting, and tooling to improve execution speed, scale, and predictability across the APAC Retail business
- Apply AI and automation to streamline analytical workflows, reduce manual effort, and pilot AI-driven approaches to forecasting and insight generation

What You Will Need:

- 5+ years of experience in analytics, sales operations, or revenue operations, with a proven ability to turn complex data into actionable business insights
- Advanced SQL skills and strong Excel/Google Sheets modelling capability

Strong hands-on Salesforce experience (reporting, data structures, automation)
- Strong experience building scalable reporting and automating data workflows
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems independently, defend analytical conclusions with rigour, and communicate recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders
