About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Strategic Sourcing - Marketing to lead sourcing efforts across Policy & Communications, Market Research, and B2B Marketing, while providing strategic support for media-related spend. This role will help identify sourcing opportunities, improve return on expenditures, strengthen supplier performance, and support the development and execution of category strategies.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sound sourcing fundamentals, and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the business. This person will manage lower-complexity sourcing initiatives end to end and support more complex initiatives, negotiations, and change management efforts.

- Lead sourcing initiatives across Policy & Communications, Market Research, and B2B Marketing categories.
- Provide strategic sourcing support for media-related spend.
- Assess supply markets and analyze spend data to identify sourcing opportunities and category improvement areas.
- Generate sourcing options and partner with business leaders to implement category strategies.

- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, agencies, and cross-functional partners.
- Develop, evaluate, and present business cases and cost/benefit analyses to support decision-making.
- Support defined category performance targets and help drive strong supplier and vendor performance.
- Stay informed on market conditions, industry trends, and supply and demand dynamics.
- Lead competitive sourcing events, including RFX development and execution.
- Support negotiation strategy development and lead negotiations for assigned initiatives.
- Develop implementation plans and support change management activities to ensure successful adoption.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and help benchmark best practices across the sourcing organization.

Basic Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, management consulting, supply chain, procurement, or a related field.
- Experience conducting spend analysis, market assessments, and opportunity identification.
- Experience leading or supporting sourcing projects from strategy through execution.

Preferred Qualifications

- Working knowledge of supplier negotiations, competitive bidding, and RFX processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, manage priorities, and work independently with minimal guidance.
- Experience supporting marketing categories such as Policy & Communications, Market Research, B2B Marketing, Media, agency, or related services.
- Experience with supplier performance management and change management.
- Comfort working in cross-functional and fast-paced environments.
- Strong presentation skills and experience communicating recommendations to stakeholders.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$118,000 per year - USD$131,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$118,000 per year - USD$131,000 per year.

For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
