About The Team

Our Grocery & Retail business is a startup within Uber, a team focussed on growth and innovation, but with the support and leverage of Uber's large global ridesharing and delivery businesses. We own the delivery of everything that isn't restaurant food - think groceries, essentials, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, beauty, and more... Many of the opportunities and challenges we face are new for Uber and require creative solutions that cater to different customers, but we're able to solve them because we care deeply #BuildwithHeart.

In this role, you'll truly drive business growth and innovation by managing our large Grocery & Retail partner groups in Japan and expanding our business together in mutually beneficial ways. A successful partner success manager deeply understands our merchant partners; builds strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers throughout the organization; and effectively identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to improve core business metrics for our merchants and for Uber Eats.

Your Impact in Role:

Driving partners' delivery business by;

  1. Building relationships with top-tier partners
  2. Understanding merchants' business strategy
  3. Building a joint business plan
  4. Executing the plan
  5. Work with cross-functional teams to provide partner feedback to create a seamless UE experience for all involved parties

The Experience You'll Bring:
  1. Stakeholder Management
  2. Data-driven approach
  3. Fluency in Japanese
  4. Business level English
  5. Experience working in/with the retail industry (preferably in the grocery, pharma, and convenience)
  6. Action driven / Self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. SQL knowledge
  2. Team management experience
