Regional Operations Manager, Marketplace Efficiency

About the Role

On the Uber EMEA Delivery Regional Operations team, we serve the business and local markets by partnering with Product, Local Operations, and Cross-functional partners to build and scale impactful Products and data-driven Processes across EMEA.

You will be joining the Marketplace Efficiency team which is responsible for building Processes and scaling Products across Courier Pricing & Incentives, Reliability Management, Dispatch & Logistics, and Timeliness, to make sure that all actors find value in the platform (Earners, Merchants, Consumers, and Uber itself). In that sense, the team drives key business metrics on Financial Performance, Courier Earnings, Consumer Experience and overall Reliability of the Marketplace.

What You'll Do

1. Scale Marketplace Products in EMEA: As the EMEA Product Champion for Marketplace, ensure the interface between EMEA Operations, Cross-functional, and Product teams - contribute to Product Requirement Definitions, Experimentation, Launch, and Scape-up of new products, and perform Analytics for ongoing optimisation of Products.
2. Build & Scale Processes: Build and scale Processes across EMEA in order to enable the business to efficiently operate and grow, and give time back to Country Ops. Build thorough insights and analytics on managed processes.
3. Project Management and Execution: Act as the Project Manager for Products and Processes managed by you, creating launch and expansion plans, aligning multiple team members, tracking issues, driving root-cause analyses, measuring marketplace performance, and tracking progress against goals.
4. Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making: Build comprehensive, data backed frameworks & models to drive marketplace decisions (such as on investment and pricing) in the region and optimise our marketplace efficiency.
5. Partner Management & Teamwork: Build credibility and deliver high make valuable contributions to Local Operations teams (strong Partner Management), through insights & analytics, and end to end process management of key initiatives. Collaborate with a diverse group of partners across cross-functional teams in EMEA and globally.

1. At least 3 years of experience in Business Operations, Product Operations / Management, Management Consulting, or Investment Banking with a strong analytical background
2. Excellent interpersonal, and team member management skills with an ability to form long term relationships in diverse, cross-functional, and global environments
3. Demonstrable project management skills

1. Understanding of marketplace dynamics, adapting to a constantly evolving work environment, in the context of a fast-growing company
2. Advanced analytical skills in SQL and Excel/G-Sheets/Tableau. Exposure or interest in Python or other statistical programming languages is a plus.
3. A creative attitude that understands and enjoys experimental design and statistical methods
