Project Manager, Platform
About The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join Uber's Platform Product Legal team, supporting Membership, one of our fastest-growing programs. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen the legal and operational foundation of Uber's subscription, loyalty, and consumer benefit program.
You'll provide efficient, best in class legal support at every stage of product development, from ideation to launch and market expansion, while ensuring key stakeholder collaboration along the way.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in legal project management and a strong bias for action, with the ability to independently identify pain points and develop practical solutions to address them.
Roles will be based at Uber's Washington D.C., New York or San Francisco, CA office.
What You'll Do:
- Work with a highly collaborative, growing team to lead and scale project management processes for product legal reviews.
- Build,implement, and continuously improve processes, tools, playbooks, and policies, ensuring consistent and effective global legal oversight for membership.
- Serve as a front-line reviewer, working under the supervision of an attorney, to evaluate and provide feedback on business proposals, product launches, and operational plans.
- Design and scale efficient processes for legal reviews, streamlining approval workflows, managing stakeholder input, and advancing critical issues for resolution.
- Regularly surface pain points, lead structured problem-solving, and contribute to evolving Membership Legal roadmap.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with various global legal, policy, and cross-functional teams and act as a key liaison to drive alignment, resolve blockers, and ensure appropriate visibility.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in legal program management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of legal matter management processes and systems.
- Strong judgment with ability to act autonomously and know when to seek input or escalate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication and alignment across teams.
- Experience using AI/ML tools and methodologies, with demonstrated understanding of related legal, regulatory, and ethical considerations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with both business leaders and cross-functional partners, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, partner with, and influence others.
- Capacity to learn and retain technical and legal information, ask insightful questions, and translate complex details into actionable guidance.
- Experience in advertising, subscription products and services, and consumer protection legal issues.
- Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.
- Inquisitive, proactive, and able to spot issues and drive them to resolution.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and enthusiasm for Uber's mission.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year.
