Program Manager, Global Learning & Development
About the Role
The Program Manager, People will join the Global Learning & Development team and work to support vendor partnerships and executional excellence for org-wide learning programs. This role will serve as a strategic liaison between the Global L&D team, external learning providers, Uber's broader People & Places team and business stakeholders to ensure seamless program delivery and vendor performance aligned with Uber's 'learn by doing' philosophy.
Key responsibilities include managing relationships with learning vendors, overseeing contract performance and service delivery, and ensuring learning opportunities integrate effectively into Uber's broader development strategy. This role will also provide operational support for vendor-hosted learning programs, as well as internally-led programs such as Mentorship@Uber.
Success in this role requires strong program management capabilities, operational strength and the ability to synthesize information across multiple initiatives & stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of managing complex partnerships, optimizing program operations, and supporting learning initiatives that drive business results.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end vendor relationships for learning programs, including contracting, performance monitoring, and statement of work oversight to ensure quality delivery aligned with Uber's learning strategy
- Partner with external learning providers to identify new program opportunities, integrate them into Uber's learning ecosystem, and optimize operations throughout the program lifecycle
- Maintain and evolve Uber's vendor management playbook, establishing standardized processes for selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate across the Global Learning & Development team to ensure vendor-delivered and internal programs create a cohesive learning experience
- Provide operational support for internally-led programs such as Mentorship@Uber, including logistics, participant communications, and success metrics tracking
- Synthesize program data and vendor performance metrics to generate actionable insights and communicate impact to leadership and stakeholders
- Partner with the broader People & Places team to promote learning programs, ensure consistent utilization, and identify engagement trends
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience in L&D for adult professionals
- Minimum 4+ years experience managing complex projects, stakeholders and/or L&D programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering with HR/L&D teams and business leaders in a global, matrixed organization
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic decisions
- Proven track record of designing scalable processes and driving operational efficiency
- Demonstrated success building relationships and influencing stakeholders across all organizational levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter who can independently drive initiatives from concept through execution

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$127,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$127,000 per year.
