About the Role

Uber's Marketing and Commercial Transactions Legal team is looking for an exceptional Paralegal. This is a critical role supporting a fast-paced, client-facing team on operational efficiency, team organization, and different types of contracts across our products, platforms, offers, and services. If you're passionate about supporting legal work and driving efficiency and growth in the consumer protection, marketing, and transactional space, and you're ready to work collaboratively to transform the way people go where they want and get what they need, come and join this exciting team!

What You'll Do:

  • You will provide comprehensive legal support across a wide range of Consumer Protection, Marketing, and Commercial Transactions matters
  • Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial transactions, including vendor agreements, termination letters, and amendments
  • Review marketing materials and communications (including digital, social media, email, in-app, and out-of-home) for compliance with disclosure requirements, claim substantiation, and internal policies
  • Triage, coordinate, and track requests for legal review through a JIRA dashboard
  • Work with Legal Operations teams, Contract Administrators, and CLM engineers to improve and streamline our CLM resources
  • Collaborate with Legal department program managers to identify opportunities for simplification, use of GenAI tools, and/or automation
  • Maintain and update the team's process documents, internal guidelines, business-facing playbooks, and training materials.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. degree
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Program Management, Legal Operations, or as a Corporate Paralegal in a fast-paced corporate or law firm setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal Certification or a strong foundational knowledge of legal concepts, technology, and compliance requirements
  • Program Management certification or experience in project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Asana, Trello)
  • Strong understanding of the contract lifecycle from request and drafting through execution, renewal, and storage
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often involving cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal or technical concepts into clear, actionable business language
  • Proficiency in Jira
  • Proficiency in Docusign CLM
  • Experience working in a global environment or a technology/high-growth company
  • Exceptional business judgment and ability to work independently to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving global environment
  • Confidence and flexibility to operate in a dynamic, high-growth, and collaborative environment
  • A proven ability to embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability, and a "Go Get It" attitude about Uber's mission.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base hourly rate range for this role is USD$48.56 per hour - USD$53.85 per hour.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base hourly rate range for this role is USD$48.56 per hour - USD$53.85 per hour.
