Operations Manager, US&C Merchandising, Retail
About the Role
The Retail team is a high-growth startup within Uber, tasked with expanding our marketplace beyond traditional delivery. As the Operations Manager for Alcohol Merchandising, you will be the primary architect of the category's site strategy. You aren't just managing a category; you are responsible for the P&L-driving levers that define how millions of consumers discover and purchase alcohol on the platform.
What You'll Do

- Lifecycle Promotional Architecture: Drive end-to-end promotional strategy across the customer journey-crafting campaigns to drive acquisition, increase purchase frequency, and deepen long-term loyalty while optimizing for ROI
- Be the Voice of the Customer Internally: Act as the "eyes and ears" for our Product team. You'll identify the features needed for next year's big bets, help prioritize the roadmap for future application changes, and lead the charge as we launch new product features in-market
- Bridge Strategy and Execution: You won't just identify problems; you'll fix them. You will identify operational bottlenecks and build the workflows that allow the Alcohol category to scale smoothly across hundreds of cities
- Collaborate to Win: Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Legal to ensure our campaigns are high-impact, brand-aligned, and fully compliant within the unique regulatory landscape of the alcohol industry
