About the Role
Uber Direct is transforming last-mile delivery by enabling businesses-from restaurants to retailers-to offer fast, reliable delivery directly through their own websites and apps using Uber's technology and courier network.
As an Operations Manager on the Earner & Merchant Operations team, you'll play a central role in delivering a best-in-class experience for both couriers and merchants across Uber Direct in Latin America. Your mission: ensure seamless and reliable operations that support business growth, customer satisfaction, and courier success.
This role combines strategic thinking, data analysis, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll work closely with local and regional teams-including Marketplace, Commercial, and other Delivery Ops stakeholders-to solve complex problems, challenge the status quo, and drive operational excellence.

What You'll Do
- Be the connector: Act as the key point of contact across Ops, Commercial, and Marketplace teams to align priorities and co-create solutions
- Drive excellence: Lead the execution of strategic operational initiatives that grow the Uber Direct business, expand supply types, and pilot new programs
- Champion innovation: Identify and implement process improvements that simplify the delivery experience for earners and merchants
- Own trip performance: Monitor, analyze, and act on key operational metrics to ensure high-quality delivery across verticals (restaurants, groceries, retail)
- Balance short- and long-term goals: Understand how today's actions contribute to Uber Direct's long-term success in Latin America
- Move fast and smart: Experiment, iterate, and push boundaries to find scalable solutions that deliver tangible results
What You'll Need
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in SQL and experience building data reports
- 3+ years of experience in operations, strategy, analytics, or a related role (preferably in a tech or startup environment)
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical mindset and comfort with performance measurement and experimentation
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally across levels and teams
- A passion for problem-solving, continuous improvement, and operational impact
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience with Python for analysis
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana
- Background working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Account Management, Product, or Support
- Strong stakeholder management experience, especially in complex environments
